This Sunday's Worship Materials can be found in the "Featured Sermon" below. We meet in person at Harper Park Middle School, and the service is also livestreamed on our YouTube channel.

Heart Prep for Sunday, May 28th

We’ve come to the end of our series on “A Man Called Job.”  Of course, we went over the last chapter two weeks ago, so what’s left?  Well, Job shows up one more time, in the Book of James.  While Job is not mentioned by name in the “Hall of Faith” in Hebrews 11, he is the only one mentioned by name in the “Hall of Patience” in James 5.  Not only is Job counted among the prophets, but he is viewed as the greatest example among them when it comes to the patient endurance of suffering.

Hopefully, over the last 14 weeks (that doesn’t sound so long now, does it?), you’ve learned something about patience, and suffering, and trusting God, and waiting for and waiting on the Lord Jesus.  But there’s always more we need to learn.  And so, we’re not quite done.  This Sunday, we’re going to let James, the brother of Jesus, finish our study of Job, and, as always, he will point us to the Lord.  It should be good, I’ll see you then, Dr. Dave

PS – This week we’ll be celebrating the Lord’s Supper.  I know, it’s the last Sunday of the month and we usually do this on the first Sunday.  But I’m planning on running away and hiding some this summer and Frank’s going on sabbatical (yes, the rumors are true), and since we’re required to have a Teaching Elder present, we changed the schedule for the summer.  Not to worry, everything will go back to normal in the fall.
