This Sunday's Worship Materials can be found in the "Featured Sermon" below. We meet in person at Harper Park Middle School, and the service is also livestreamed on our YouTube channel.

What To Expect When Visiting At Potomac Hills:

Are you thinking of visiting Potomac Hills Presbyterian Church? If so, here is some information you might find helpful.

screenshot70Casual Atmosphere: We think it's important that you feel welcome when visiting, and we hope our casual atmosphere will help you feel comfortable. When you enter the main doors, our greeters will guide you and answer any questions you might have. Look no further than the main hallway if you need coffee or a snack. That's where many folks hang out before and after the service.  Check out our church literature or enjoy refreshments in the main hallway.

Biblical Teaching: We prioritize preaching and teaching God's Word. The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be encouraged, and be challenged by God's Word. Our sermon series usually works through books of the Bible, so you will receive solid biblical teaching that applies to your daily life.

Worship Music: On each Lord’s Day, we praise and glorify the Lord through word-centered worship that draws from the rich well of music, which is the church’s heritage. Our Worship Ministry seeks to provide people with a means to draw near to God through the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in modern and traditional styles.  We love to hear the congregation singing along, not sitting back and listening to a performance.  So, our songs are chosen primarily based on their theological and Biblical content and on singability.

The Lord's Supper: We celebrate the Lord's Supper once a month, usually on the first Sunday of the month. The service is a little longer, as we reflect on the meaning of communion. Then, we invite everyone forward to receive the elements and have an elder, pastor, or deacon pray for them individually.

Dress Attire: Many attending Potomac Hills will be in what you would likely call 'business casual,' some in jeans and others in sport coats or dresses. We encourage people to dress comfortably—what you feel comfortable in when attending a worship service—while keeping modesty in mind.
