This Sunday's Worship Materials can be found in the "Featured Sermon" below. We meet in person at Harper Park Middle School, and the service is also livestreamed on our YouTube channel.

Heart Prep for Sunday, May 23rd

Wow!  It seems like May is just flying by and it will soon be over.  So here’s a few things to be praying for.  This weekend is our annual Officer’s Retreat (which got canceled last year).  We’ll be hearing from Kirk Blankenship, Pastor of Pilgrim PCA in Martinsburg, WV.  He’ll be sharing on the implications of the Resurrection for our lives today.  Pray that this proves to be a refreshing time for your elders and deacons after a long and complicated year.

Next, pray for me as I have a few speaking engagements coming up.  This Saturday morning I’ll be the commencement speaker at the RTS, DC graduation.  I’ll be speaking on “Giving What We Have” from Acts 3.  Pray that it’s an encouragement to the graduates.  Then, the first weekend in June, I’ll be leading a church retreat for Faith PCA in Frederick, MD on the subject of worship.  Finally, June 14-18 I’ll be teaching an intensive week-long class on “Worship” for RTS.  I still have a lot of lecture notes to finish before then so pray that gets done.

Next weekend we’ll be offering a New Member Class (both in-person and online) on Saturday, May 29th and following worship on Sunday, May 30th, we’ll have our annual Memorial Day picnic at Fox Ridge Park in Leesburg (please RSVP on Realm).

Kirk will be with us this Sunday morning and he’ll be preaching on “Power in Light of the Resurrection” from Revelation 1 (which I’m sure you’re all familiar with from our adult Sunday School class).  Kirk is a good friend and a super gracious guy.  I’ll think we’ll all profit from having him with us.

So, there’s a lot going on.  And it’s all starts Sunday.  See you then! Dr. Dave
