Heart Prep for Sunday, July 2nd
“Stay thirsty my friends.”
(Wow, I never thought I would use a beer commercial in a sermon.) This week the sermon has been titled, “Prayer for Thirst.” I wasn’t sure of the title, so I had to ask, “is this a prayer to quench our thirst or a prayer to thirst” If you too are puzzled by the title, well, you can either annoy Dr. Dave on vacation or you can come to worship this week. Either way, we get to open up Psalm 42, a psalm that opens with a thirsty deer and hopefully will end with Jesus. I’ll give you a hint as to which way the sermon will go. There’s a line in it that goes, “If you’re not thirsty, you just might be dead.” See you this Sunday my thirsty friends!
(And no, no beer commercials will be used)
