We’re in the middle of Holy Week. Today is Maundy Thursday that reminds us of Christ’s last night with His disciples, where He washed their feet, ate the Passover feast, celebrated the first Lord’s Supper, prayed in the garden, and then was betrayed and arrested. Tomorrow is Good Friday, when He was crucified after being unjustly condemned and then buried in a sealed, guarded tomb. And it will all culminate in Easter Sunday, when Jesus’ divinity was so gloriously displayed as God raised Him from the dead. I pray that you have time to reflect deeply on all of these things, and on their central importance for your life and for all of human history.
I’ll see you at our joint Good Friday service at Ketoctin Covenant OPC tomorrow night, then Easter morning. (I invited my whole neighborhood to the Easter service through an online posting forum, I hope they come!) Anybody want to go to a sunrise service with me?
