It's all action from here on out! This week we'll be looking at Matthew 16:1-16, where the author transitions from Jesus' public teaching ministry to the climax of his arrest, death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead.
Matthew doesn't record the events chronologically because he's trying to get his readers to ask themselves a penetrating question: "What is Jesus Worth?" As we see different people in this passage answer this question through their own responses, we're encouraged to reflect upon our own hearts.
So, as Sunday approaches, let's all think and pray about this question: "What is Jesus worth to me?" And let our pondering be shaped and guided by an even more important question: "What am I worth to Jesus?"
So looking so forward to seeing you all on Sunday! - Pastor Tom
