More Compassion of the King (Matthew 9:32-38)
Series: The King and His Kingdom! - A Series in the Book of Matthew Passage: Matthew 9:32–9:38
This week we're finishing Matthew 9 and we're looking at several seemingly unrelated issues -- compassion, prayer, and evangelism. And yet, in Jesus' view, they are closely connected. In this passage, Matthew 9:32-38, Jesus is smack in the middle of His "Healing/Gospel/Kingdom" tour, and we're told how He felt compassion for the people ... for their helplessness ... for their wandering as though they were shepherdless.
But not only is He demonstrating compassion, Jesus is also teaching His disciples some very important lessons about what it means to follow Him. Come this Sunday to learn more ... and then we'll get to share the Lord's Supper together ... followed by another great fellowship lunch!
Last, but not least, the Adult Bible Class continues our summer journey through the Minor Prophets and this Sunday we're going through the book of Nahum. I encourage you to read it ahead of time. Looking forward to another great Sunday!
See you then, Dr. Dave
