This Sunday's Worship Materials can be found in the "Featured Sermon" below. We meet in person at Harper Park Middle School, and the service is also livestreamed on our YouTube channel.

Heart Prep for Sunday, July 4th

I’m writing this a week in advance because, by the time you read it, I’ll be at the PCA’s 48th General Assembly in St. Louis. This year promises lots of controversy in the form of several overtures (a motion, or a request for action, coming from one of our 88 presbyteries) about sexuality and race and I have the burden privilege of serving on the Overtures Committee! So.Much.Fun. Please be in prayer for us that the Holy Spirit will be active in bringing the unity that can only be found in Christ. I’ll let you know how it went after I return.
We’re continuing our sermon series on the One Another commands of the New Testament. This week we’ll be looking at Romans 15:7-13, with special attention paid to verse 7 and the phrase, “Welcome one another.” Well, that sounds pretty simple. But is it? What if you have a serious disagreement with someone from church? And you know that you’re right and they’re wrong. What do you do? Well, the Apostle Paul not only gives us these commands, but he also gives us reasons for these commands, and we’re going to look at them both. And then he reminds us that obedience to these One Another commands brings blessings too.
Well, after General Assembly I’m pretty sure I’ll need some blessings. So, I’m looking forward to welcoming you all on Sunday. And don’t forget about the picnic; it’s a great time to welcome someone you don’t know very well! See you soon, Dr. Dave
