Merry Christmas from the church staff and leadership! We hope that everyone had a wonderful day yesterday and that you've got some good family time scheduled during these last few days of 2019. We always enjoy a more low-key worship service the Sunday after Christmas, and it's fun to see parents, grandparents, and extended family that are in town visiting our members. We have one more Psalm in this series of Advent Psalms before we return to the Gospel of Mark. It's Psalm 118 with some repeated phrases like "His steadfast love endures forever" and "the right hand of the Lord does valiantly." It has some wonderful reminders of God's active presence in our lives, as well as some key verses that resonate through the New Testament like "the stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone" and "blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord." I look forward to exploring this Psalm with you as we say goodbye to 2019 and look forward to God's renewed blessings for the coming year!
