I can't wait to hang out with you all this Friday night in downtown Leesburg at the Trinity House Café! It will be a great night of singing old and new worship songs, and hopefully people walking by will be drawn in. We've participated in a number of different outreach events this Spring - flyer invitations to Easter, hospitality for our neighbors, literature table at a community event, Tree of Life dinners, and Backpack Buddies. This will be a great event near the middle of town where we'll hopefully get to engage some people outside the church. Feel free to invite people, and remember that we'd like to support Trinity House by buying food and drinks from them.
After Chris Hutchinson's great reminder of God's plan to strengthen unity in His church from Ephesians last Sunday, we jump back into Jeremiah at chapter 33 this week. God tells Jeremiah some "great and hidden things," things that I can't reveal in this preview, that you can only understand if you come Sunday and work your way through the passage! (OK, maybe you could understand it if you read it yourself.) God also reveals the conditions under which He is willing to break His covenant with Israel; we'll find out just how trustworthy He is. I'm also looking forward to starting a Sunday School class with the college students in 1 Timothy, learning a new song in worship, and attending the Memorial Day Weekend Picnic Sunday. See you then! -Dave
