Children In The Kingdom (Matthew 18:1-14)

Have you ever told someone to "grow up"? Of course you have. But I bet you haven't told anyone to "grow down." Yet that's what Jesus tells us in the beginning of Matthew chapter 18. And then he tells us to gouge out our eyes and consider cutting off our limbs. Followed by a story that gives new meaning to the notion of "the 1%." What is going on with all of these teachings?
