The Transfiguration of the King (Matthew 17:1-8)

Wow, hard to believe its 2014. I've been so busy it just sort of arrived on my schedule without being too noticeable. That's not the case for this week's passage, Matthew 17:1-8, which shows us "The Transfiguration of Christ." The Transfiguration was such a stunning event. It was impossible not to notice. In fact, years and years later, the apostles were still talking about it. This event changed their lives and ministries forever. Can it change us too? Or is it just an old Bible story with which we've become too familiar? I believe that it's not only important in the past and for the future, but it's important right now.
