This Sunday it's "Back to the Bakery" -- at least that's what I wanted to call this week's sermon on Matthew 15:29-39, where we have the Feeding the 4,000. What ??? Didn't we just have that? Nope, that was the Feeding of the 5,000 back in Matthew 14. So why do we have a very similar miracle, in a very similar place, done in a very similar way? Perhaps the disciples are just slow learners? But there is one huge difference between the first event and the second! The people Jesus was ministering to were not similar at all! This difference is very important to our understanding of the Gospel and is a key reason why Christmas is such an important holiday for us. Wondering why? Come Sunday to find out.
See you then, Dr. Dave
