The Cost of the Kingdom (Matthew 8:18-22)

You won't want to miss church this Sunday for it is Mothers Day, as well as Youth Sunday! The youth group will be serving the church by leading all of the service elements, so make sure you come early to grab a seat.
As we continue in the Book of Matthew, we will be discussing "The Cost of the Kingdom." In chapter 8, verses 18 through 22 we will encounter two questions: (1) Have you counted the cost of following Jesus? (2) Is Jesus your first priority in life?
I'll admit, these aren't easy questions to answer, but Jesus is calling us to answer them. Jesus makes it clear in this passage that He wants us to follow Him, and to prioritize Him regardless of the cost. We must answer His call, for He is worth whatever the cost may be.
