The Way of The Kingdom (Matthew 7:13-29)

Series: The King and His Kingdom! - A Series in the Book of Matthew Passage: Matthew 7:13–7:29

This week we're wrapping up Matthew 7 and will be looking at a series of contrasts -- narrow vs wide gates, good vs bad fruit, knowing vs not knowing the Lord, and being wise or foolish builders. It's all very interesting, but what do we do with it? I mean, we all hope to make the right choices and we really hope that God will bless us for it, but is that what this passage is really all about?

Actually, in this passage, our Savior makes the final application of all that He's said in Matthew 5-7 so far. Now that we know what He demands of us, we must choose to follow Him, even if it's hard. Perhaps the subtitle for The Sermon on the Mount should be "The Christian Life is Easier Said than Done." So what difference should the Sermon on the Mount make in our everyday life?

Come Sunday to find out. See you then, Dr. Dave
