Genesis 32 starts with Jacob heading back to his homeland and dreading his meeting with his brother, Esau, whom he had cheated so many years ago. His heartfelt prayer in vv. 9-12 is founded on faith, but we see him still making plans to appease Esau. Which Jacob are you- a person of faith or of fear? And what does it take to appease the person who most counts, God Himself?
