Genesis 30:25-31:55 is the story of Jacob trying to leave his father-in-law, Laban, and return to his homeland. First, Jacob agrees to stay for 6 years if Laban will split his herd with him. However, after those years, Laban and his son feel that Jacob has taken advantage of him, so Jacob flees with his family and possessions. But Laban will not let him get away without a confrontation. See how God protects Jacob through all of these twists and turns, and see the difference between where Jacob and Laban put their hopes.
