Between Isaac's favoritism and plotting, Rebekah's scheming, Jacob's deceiving and Esau's anger, Genesis 27 chronicles how each member of Isaac's family sins. Esau has already let his birthright go in exchange for a bowl of stew, and now Jacob steals his father's blessing by pretending to be Esau. With all this family turmoil and dysfunction, how can we expect God to be faithful to His covenant promises to this family?
