We are entering our fourth week in the Book of Esther and we're getting to the theme verse for the book this week. This is a defining moment for Esther. It is unlikely that any of us will ever be in Esther's dire predicament, but every one of us faces defining moments in our lives. Certainly the most fundamental of them comes when we hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and decide how to respond to it. The gospel confronts us with continuing to live for ourselves or to start identifying ourselves with Christ and His people ... the church. Our lives are full of defining moments.
