Well, as most of you have heard by now, Tom Rubino has accepted a new call to serve as Assistant Pastor for Connections at Wildwood PCA church in Tallahassee, Florida. We are so thankful for Tom and his three years of ministry here. His last day at our church will be Sunday, March 1st, and we’ll have a Farewell Lunch for the Rubino’s that day. Between now and then, we hope that you can find time to let Tom & Christine know how much their ministry and friendship have meant to you.
Keep reading Hebrews weekly! It’s awesome! And keeping posting on Social Media with #JesusisBetter. Some of your posts have been great! This week we’ll be looking at Hebrews 2:10-18 and see why Jesus provides “A Better Suffering.” Wait. What? Suffering? Nobody wants to talk about suffering, right? However, the Scriptures talk about suffering a lot, and they seem to say that there’s a purpose for suffering. Usually we just want to make people feel better, but what if God has something else in mind for our suffering? That’s the question we’ll be looking at this Sunday.
Speaking of making people feel better, our Community Groups have all begun and we’ve been hearing great reports of how people are starting to connect with each other. In light of the sure and certain possibility that you will experience some form of suffering in your life (maybe even this year!), wouldn’t it be great to have a group of people who love you and pray for you! Why yes, yes it would, and that’s one of the great benefits of being in a Community Group! It’s not too late to join a group so please do so quickly!
Looking forward to worshiping with you on Sunday! See you there, Dr. Dave
