In this week's passage, after 70 weeks, we finally finished the Book of Genesis (Colossians next!). We were reminded that Joseph was a man who had many trials in his life. Yet in spite of all these trials, he could say to his brothers, “you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” He knew that behind the actions of his brothers, ultimately it was God who was at work, sending Joseph to Egypt for God’s sovereign purposes. And like Joseph, we need to trust in the Sovereign Goodness of God.
