Genesis 6 chronicles God's decision to flood the earth and His instructions for Noah to keep his family safe during the flood. The ark that he is to build is an ark of salvation, using the same word for the little boat that kept Moses safe as a baby in Egypt- both were instruments to save the men who would preserve God's people. Ultimately, this story is about Noah's faith in God; and challenges us to consider our own faith in God and His promises to judge and to grant salvation.
