Matthew's account of the Incarnation focuses on Joseph, a man who had nothing to do with Jesus' conception but whom God used greatly in His birth and early life. Joseph's unquestioning obedience to the series of angel visitation dreams that he has shows both his character and his willingness to enter into the scandal and shame of the Incarnation and Virgin Birth. Are we willing to be obedient and enter into the scandal of Christ's life?
